U.S. employers spend billions every year on employee learning and development and many are wasting this money on ineffective programs. Improvements in employee learning require an alignment of your workforce development programs with your business goals. To help serve this cause, ShoreBank, the winner of the 2004 WorkforceChicago2.0 Award, hosted a unique learning experience designed for Business Executives and Human Resources Leaders and Practitioners.

A panel made up of ShoreBank's President and CEO, Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Vice President of Employee Development, and a front line employee discussed two significant company-wide employee development initiatives.

At this event, participants:

  • Learned what worked and didn’t work at ShoreBank,
  • Explored connections between the ShoreBank experience and your own,
  • Collaborated with peers to build concrete strategies for your organization.

This was an exciting opportunity to share strategies for improving workforce development with some of Chicago's most successful business leaders.
